After months of R&D work with the owner’s team, work has now started on a fully bespoke sportfish yacht the likes of which has never been seen among the shoals. Ordered as a chase boat for Project SkyFall, a 60-metre yacht in build at Heesen, the VQ80 SportFish will be one of the fastest superyachts on the planet today. She will combine phenomenal sportfish functionality with the unique Vanquish brand lifestyle and pure design elements.

With exterior and interior design by Guido de Groot and naval architecture from Studio Delta, this game-changing project introduces an unprecedented degree of imposing looks, breakneck speed and high-tech sophistication to the conservative sea-fishing world. A hybrid between a luxurious sportfish superyacht and a VQ powerboat at the peak of its performance, the VQ80 SportFish is an extreme boat with extreme power

Next-generation 4800 hp C32B Caterpillars will feed two surface drives to drive the VQ80 at 51 knots. Carrying 5700 litres of fuel gives a range of 330 nautical miles and brings the best remote fishing grounds into play. Petestep hull technology increases efficiency by over 15% at high speeds.

When the time comes to cast lines, a fantastic fishing experience awaits using the latest Garmin gear including fishfinders and chart plotters. Hydraulic doors port and starboard make it easy to haul fish into the hold and there’s lots of storage for the catch and fishing equipment.
